కథను నాకన్నా ముందు మా అబ్బాయి బాపినీడు విన్నాడు. దిల్ రాజు గారి దగ్గర కథ తయారైంది. సెకండాఫ్ ఏదో వర్కవుట్ అవ్వట్లేదు అని దిల్ రాజు తప్పుకున్నారు. వరుణ్ తేజ్ 'ఫిదా' లాంటి సక్సెస్ఫుల్ లవ్ ఎంటర్టైనర్ తరవాత మళ్ళీ లవ్ స్టోరీని ప్రిఫర్ చేయడం సాహసమే.
తొలిప్రేమ అని ఎందుకు పెట్టారు?
ఈ సినిమాకి 'తొలిప్రేమ' అనే టైటిల్కి ముందు రెండుమూడు టైటిల్స్ అనుకున్నాం. వేరే ఏ టైటిల్ పెట్టినా తేలిపోయి ఉండేది. మేం అనుకున్న టైమ్కి ఆల్రెడీ ఉషా కిరణ్ మూవీస్ వాళ్ళు టైటిల్ను రిజిస్టర్ చేసుకున్నారు. వెళ్లి అడగ్గానే ఇచ్చేశారు.
నిజం చెప్పాలంటే నేను కొత్త డైరెక్టర్తో సినిమా చేయను. బాపినీడు అనుకున్నాడు కాబట్టే ఈ సినిమా సెట్స్ పైకి వచ్చింది. మళ్ళీ మా బ్యానర్లో కొత్త డైరెక్టర్ సినిమా రావాలంటే మా అబ్బాయి బాపినీడు చూసుకుంటాడు. ఈ సినిమాకు కూడా నేను పెద్దగా ఇన్వాల్వ్ కాలేదు. ఒక్క మ్యూజిక్ సిట్టింగ్స్లో కూర్చున్నాను.

పెద్ద స్టార్తో సినిమా చేయాలంటే ఇప్పుడు అందరూ బిజీగానే ఉన్నారు. ఇక మల్టీస్టారర్ సినిమా విషయానికి వస్తే మల్టీస్టారర్ తీయగలిగే కెపాసిటీ దర్శకుడికి ఉండాలి. అది రాజమౌళికి ఉంది. ఆయన ప్రస్తుతం బిజీగా వున్నాడు. ఇద్దరు పెద్ద హీరోలు ఆయన దగ్గర బ్లాక్ అయ్యారు. ఒక్క మహేష్ బాబుతో నేను సినిమా చేయాల్సి వుంది. త్వరలో ఆ కోరిక నెరవేరనుందని భావిస్తున్నా. ఏది ఏమైనా వచ్చే ఏడాది తప్పకుండా వుంటుంది.

బడ్జెట్ అనేది కథను బట్టే వుంటుంది. సిన్సియర్గా తీయాలి. కథకు ఎంత అవసరమో అంత పెట్టాలి అప్పుడే సినిమా బావుంటుంది. లేకపోతే అంత కష్టం వధా అయిపోతుంది. ఈ సినిమాతో 24 సినిమాలు కంప్లీట్ అయ్యాయి. తదుపరి 25 వ సినిమా అని స్పెషల్ ఫీలింగ్ ఏమీ లేదు. వరసగా చేసుకుంటూ పోవడమే.
హీరోను బట్టి కథను డిసైడ్ చేస్తారా?
కాంబినేషన్ని బట్టి సినిమా అనుకున్నా కథ ఉండాల్సిందే. కథ ఉంటేనే ఏదైనా వర్కవుట్ అవుతుంది. ప్రొడ్యూసర్ కూడా ఆ కథలో ఇన్వాల్వ్ అయినప్పుడే బడ్జెట్ క్లారిటీ ఉంటుంది.
ఆర్య 2లా తొలిప్రేమ 2 వుంటుందా?
హిట్టయిన సినిమాలకు సీక్వెల్ లాంటివి ఏమీ అనుకోలేదు కానీ అనుకోకుండా ఏమైనా ఉంటే చేయవచ్చు. 'ఆర్య2' కూడా అప్పటికప్పుడు అనుకుని చేసిందే. నిజానికి ఆ స్థానంలో వేరే కథ అనుకున్నాం. కానీ బన్ని 'ఆర్య 2' చేసేద్దాం అనగానే అప్పటికప్పుడు తీసుకున్న నిర్ణయమది.
పాటలు బావున్నాయి అంటున్నారే?
ఈ రోజు పాటలు బావున్నాయి అని అందరూ అంటున్నారంటే ప్రతీది బావుంది కాబట్టే సాంగ్స్ నచ్చుతున్నాయి. తమన్ మంచి ట్యూన్స్ ఇచ్చినా, సాహిత్యం కుదరాలి. డైరెక్టర్ మంచి సిచ్యువేషన్ ఇవ్వాలి, ఎవరి పని వాళ్ళు సరిగ్గా చేశారు కాబట్టే కుదిరింది అని చెప్పారు ప్రసాద్.
