వైవిఎస్. చౌదరి దర్శకుడిగా అందరికీ తెలిసిందే. ఆయన ఎన్.టి.ఆర్.కు వీరాభిమాని. పలు సినిమాలకు దర్శకత్వం వహించిన ఆయన కొత్తవారిని హీరో హీరోయిన్లుగా పరిచయం చేశారు. ఇప్పుడు ఓ తెలుగమ్మాయిని నాయికగా పరిచయం చేబోతున్నారు.
ఈనెల 23, ఆదివారంనాడు ఆయన జన్మదినం. ఆ సందర్భంగా ఆయన చెప్పిన విశేషాలు.
సృష్టికి ప్రతిసృష్టి రాజర్షి, బ్రహ్మర్షి విశ్వామిత్ర చేశారు. అటువంటి ప్రతిసృష్టిలను.. ఎన్నో ఏళ్ళుగా ప్రతివారం తమ యొక్క సినిమాల ద్వారా అతిరథ మహారధులెందరో చేస్తూనే ఉన్నారు. అసలు సినిమా యొక్క సృష్టి అనేది వ్యసనమో, వ్యాపారమో కాదు అది ఒక అనిర్వచనీయమైన వ్యామోహం.
అటువంటి మహత్తరమైన సృష్టి పట్ల నేను స్ఫూర్తిని పొందింది నా అభిమాన కధానాయకులు విశ్వవిఖ్యాత నటసార్వభౌమ, నటరత్న స్వర్గీయ నందమూరి తారక రామారావుగారి వల్ల. నేను తర్ఫీదు పొందింది మాత్రం నా అభిమాన దర్శకులు, దర్శకేంద్రులు అయిన కె. రాఘవేంద్రరావుగారి వద్ద. ఆ క్రమంలోనే రామ్గోపాల్వర్మగారు, మహేష్భట్గారు, సింగీతం శ్రీనివాసరావుగారు, కృష్ణవంశీ లాంటి పలువురి దిగ్దర్శకుల వద్ద తర్ఫీదు పొందుతున్న నాలోని ప్రతిభని గుర్తించడమేగాక.. ఆ ప్రతిభని ‘శ్రీ సీతారాములకళ్యాణం చూతము రారండి’ అనే సినిమా ద్వారా ప్రేక్షకులకు తొలి పరిచయం చేసింది సెల్యూలాయిడ్ సైంటిస్ట్, యువసామ్రాట్ అక్కినేని నాగార్జునగారు.
తర్వాత కొన్నాళ్ళకి, ప్రిన్స్ ‘మహేష్బాబు’ కధానాయకునిగా తెరకెక్కిన, నా దర్శకత్వంలోని 3వ సినిమా ‘యువరాజు’ విడుదల తదనంతర పరిణామాల వల్ల.. ‘బొమ్మరిల్లు వారి’ అనే సొంత బ్యానర్ స్థాపించి, ‘లాహిరి లాహిరి లాహిరిలో’ సినిమా ద్వారా, నాకు నేనే నా ప్రతిభని ఇంకోక్కసారి ప్రేక్షకులకు పరిచయం చేసుకోవటం జరిగింది
ఆ తర్వాత కొన్నేళ్ళకి, సుప్రీమ్ హీరో ‘సాయిధరమ్తేజ్’ కధానాయకునిగా తెరకెక్కిన, నా దర్శకత్వంలోని 9వ సినిమా ‘రేయ్’ విడుదల తదనంతర పరిమాణాల వల్ల.. నా చిరకాల సన్నిహితులు, స్నేహితులు, శ్రేయోభిలాషులందరూ కలిసి నా ప్రతిభని మరొక్కసారి ప్రేక్షకులకు పరిచయం చేస్తామని ఒత్తిడి చేస్తున్నారు.
“చౌదరీ!! నేను నీకు దర్శకత్వపు అవకాశం ఇస్తున్నాను. నటీనటులు ఎవరు కావాలి నీకు?” అని అక్కినేని నాగార్జునగారు నన్ను అడిగితే “కొత్త నటీనటులను పరిచయం చేస్తూ ఒక ప్రేమకధని నా మొదటి సినిమాలా తీయాలని ఉందండి.” అని అనడంతో “ఏం? నేను అవసరం లేదా?” అని ఆయన అడగ్గా “మీరు వద్దు అనే మాట నేను అననండీ, నేను కొత్త నటీనటులను పరిచయం చేయాలి.” అని అనడంతో ఆయన “సరే!! నీ ఇష్టం.” అని అన్నారు. 1997-98 ప్రాంతంలో.. అప్పుడు పెద్ద దర్శకులుగా చెలామణీ అవుతున్న ముగ్గురి దర్శకులు.. కొత్త నటీనటులను పరిచయం చేస్తూ తీసిన 3 సినిమాలు అపజయం పాలయ్యాక కూడా అధైర్యపడకుండా, నాకు ఇచ్చిన మాట ప్రకారం అక్కినేని నాగార్జునగారు నన్ను దర్శకుడిగా పరిచయం చేస్తే.. నేను వెంకట్, చందూలను హీరోలుగా, చాందినినీ హీరోయిన్గా ఎంచుకుని తెలుగు ప్రేక్షక లోకానికి హీరో, హీరోయిన్లుగా పరిచయం చేశాను.
అలా.. ఇచ్చిన మాట మీద నిలబడటం అనే లక్షణం అక్కినేని నాగార్జునగారి నుండీ.. మనం నమ్మిన సిద్ధాంతం కోసం మడమ తిప్పకుండా పోరాటం చేయడం అనే లక్షణం ‘అన్న’ ఎన్. టి. ఆర్.గారి నుండి స్ఫూర్తిని పొందాను. ఆ స్ఫూర్తితోనే ఆ తరువాత ఆదిత్య ఓమ్-అంకితలను ‘లాహిరి లాహిరి లాహిరిలో’ సినిమా ద్వారా, రామ్-ఇలియానాలను ‘దేవదాసు’ సినిమా ద్వారా, సాయిధరమ్తేజ్-సయామీఖేర్లను ‘రేయ్’ సినిమా ద్వారా హీరో, హీరోయిన్లగా మరియూ 48 ఏళ్ళ వయసులో ‘సాహసరత్న’ నందమూరి హరికృష్ణగారిని సోలో హీరోగా ‘సీతయ్య’ సినిమా ద్వారా తెలుగు ప్రేక్షక లోకానికి పరిచయం చేశాను.
కళకి భాషాభేదం లేదు, ప్రాంతీయభేదం అస్సలే లేదు, ఉండకూడదు కూడా. ఇతర భాషల, ప్రాంతాల కళాకారులను తెచ్చుకోవటాలు, ఆదరించటాలు ప్రతి భాషలోనూ, ప్రతి ప్రాంతంలోనూ అనాదిగా జరుగుతూనే ఉన్నాయి, ఉంటాయి కూడా. దానికి నేనూ వ్యతిరేకం కాదు.

ముఖ్యంగా.. 1990 వరకూ కూడా మన భాష నుండీ మన ప్రాంతం నుండీ అనేక మంది హీరోయిన్స్ వచ్చారు, విజయవంతమయ్యారు, ఇతర భాషలలో కూడా తమ విజయబావుటాని ఎగురవేశారు కూడా. కానీ.. ఆ తరువాతి కాలంలో ప్రతిభావంతమైన మన తెలుగమ్మాయిలు ఎంతో మంది వచ్చినా.. వారికి మంచి అరంగేట్రం దొరకక.. కొద్దిపాటిగా రాణిస్తున్నా, అనుకున్నంత స్థాయిలో మెరవలేక మరుగున పడిపోతున్నారు.
గత కొన్నేళ్ళుగా.. ప్రతి సంవత్సరం వచ్చే తెలుగు ఉగాది, తెలుగు భాష దినోత్సవాల రోజున.. ‘ఈసారి ఎలాగైనా ఓ పదహారణాల తెలుగమ్మాయిని హీరోయిన్గా పరిచయం చేయాల్సిందే’ అని నాలో నాకే ఒక భావోద్వేగం కలుగుతూనే ఉంది. అందుకే.. ఈసారి నా కంటికి నచ్చిన ఒక తెలుగమ్మాయిని హీరోయిన్గా, నా ఆశయానికి ఊతమిచ్చే ఓ హీరోతో.. మధురమైన సంగీతానికి జతగా తేనెలూరే సాహిత్యమే ప్రాధాన్యంగా.. తెలుగువారి సంస్కృతి-సంప్రదాయాలు మరియూ తెలుగువారి వాడిని-వేడిని ప్రతిబంబించే నిఖార్సైన కధతో.. వీటన్నింటికీ మించి సినిమా సృష్టి పట్ల నాకున్న వ్యామోహంతో.. ప్రపంచాన్ని పట్టి కుదిపేస్తున్న కోవిడ్-19 మహమ్మారి నెమ్మదించిన తరువాత.. నా తదుపరి సినిమాకి సంబంధించిన పూర్తి వివరాలు ప్రకటించి.. ఓ శుభముహూర్తాన సినిమా షూటింగ్ని ప్రారంభించడం జరుగుతుంది అని.. నా తల్లిదండ్రుల ద్వారా నా ఉనికి ప్రారంభమైన నా పుట్టిన రోజు.. మే 23 వ తేదీ సందర్భంగా మీకు తెలియజేయడానికి సంతోషిస్తున్నాను.
