అయోధ్య రామ మందిర నిర్మాణం కోసం గుజరాత్ అహ్మదాబాద్కు చెందిన చంద్రకాంత్ సోంపుర 1989లో ప్లాన్ రూపొందించారు. చంద్రకాంత్ సోంపుర కుటుంబానికి దేశంలోని ఎన్నో ఆలయాలను డిజైన్ చేసిన ఘనత ఉంది. గుజరాత్లో అరేబియా సముద్రం తీరంలో ఉన్న సోమనాథ్ ఆలయం రూపకల్పన చేసింది ఆయన తాతగారే.
అయోధ్య రామ మందిరం ఎలా నిర్మించబోతున్నారు. ప్లాన్ ఎలా ఉంటుంది. ప్రత్యేకత ఏంటి అనేదానిపై చంద్రకాంత్ సోంపురాతో బీబీసీ ప్రతినిధి రాక్సీ గగ్డేకర్ ప్రత్యేకంగా మాట్లాడారు. రామ మందిరం ప్లాన్ గురించి ప్రశ్నించారు.
ఈ ప్లాన్ ఎలా ఉంటుంది. రామ మందిరం ఎలా ఉంటుందో చెబుతారా?
మేం రూపొందించిన డిజైన్ ప్రకారం, రామమందిరం పొడవు 270 అడుగులు. వెడల్పు 140 అడుగులు, ఎత్తు 128 అడుగులు ఉంటుంది. ప్రధాన ఆలయం చుట్టూ భరత్ మందిర్, లక్ష్మణ్ మందిర్, సీత మందిర్, గణేష్ మందిర్ అనే నాలుగు చిన్న ఆలయాలు ఉంటాయి. దానికి ఒక వైపున కథా కుంజ్ ఉంటుంది. అక్కడ రామాయణం, మహాభారతం లాంటి కథలు ప్రదర్శించవచ్చు. ఆ ఆవరణలోనే రీసెర్చ్ సెంటర్. భోజనశాల, ధర్మశాల. స్టాఫ్ క్వార్టర్స్ ఉంటాయి. నాలుగు వైపులా అన్ని దిక్కుల్లో గేట్లు ఉంటాయి. అక్కడ లభించే స్థలాన్ని బట్టి అవి పెద్దగా, చిన్నగా కట్టినా, మందిరం ప్లాన్లో మాత్రం ఎలాంటి మార్పు ఉండదు.
శిల్పాలు చెక్కే ప్రక్రియ మొదలైంది కదా... అది ఎలా జరుగుతోంది?
ఆలయం రెండతస్తులుగా ఉంటుంది. మా ప్లాన్లో ఎర్రగా కనిపించే భాగం పనంతా అయిపోయింది.. అంటే బాల్కనీ సహా దాదాపు రెండు అంతస్తుల పని పూర్తైంది
రామమందిరం కోసం చెక్కుతున్న రాళ్లకు ఉన్న ప్రత్యేకత ఏంటి?
రాళ్లను భరత్ పూర్ నుంచి తెచ్చాం... భరత్ పూర్ దగ్గర ఒక రాయి ఉంది. అక్షర్ ధామ్ లాంటి ఆలయాలను ఆ రాయితోనే కట్టారు. శాండ్ స్టోన్లో అది అత్యుత్తమమైన రాయి. దా శాండ్ స్టోన్ రాజు అని కూడా అంటారు. దానికి మించిన శాండ్ స్టోన్ ఎక్కడా దొరకదు.
ఆ రాయి మన్నిక ఎలా ఉంటుంది. రాయిపై ఎలాంటి శిల్పాలు చెక్కుతున్నారు?
ఆలయ నిర్మాణంలో మేం ఎలాంటి లోహం ఉపయోగించడం లేదు. ఈ శిల్పాలు కనీసం వెయ్యి, 1200 ఏళ్లు నిలుస్తాయి. అందులో ఏ సందేహం లేదు. ప్రతి స్తంభానికి 16 విగ్రహాలు ఉంటాయి. ఆ విగ్రహాలను హిందూ పురాణాల ప్రకారం వేరు వేరుగా రూపొందిస్తాం. నాకు తెలిసి ఇంత పెద్ద విగ్రహాలున్న మందిరం వేరే ఎక్కడైనా కనిపించడం కష్టమే.
సోమనాథ్ ఆలయంతో రామమందిరాన్ని పోల్చి చూస్తే, ఇది ఎలా ఉండబోతోంది. చెబుతారా?
సోమ్నాథ్ మందిర్ గర్భగృహానికి, రామమందిరం గర్భగృహానికీ తేడా ఉంటుంది. సోమనాథ్ గర్భగృహం చతురస్రంగా ఉంటే, అయోధ్య రామమందిరంలోని గర్భగృహం అష్టభుజిగా ఉంది. సోమనాథ్లో ప్రదక్షిణలు సభ్రం అంటే గుడి లోపల చేస్తారు. దానిపైన శిఖరం ఉంటుంది. రామమందిరం దగ్గర ప్రదక్షిణలు బయట చేస్తారు. శిఖరం ఆ గర్భగుడి పైన ఉంటుంది. రామమందిరంలో ప్రదక్షిణలు చేసే ప్రాంతాన్ని అభ్రం అంటే భ్రమ లేనిది అంటారు. రెండు మందిరాలలో గుడ్ మండప్, ఇది నృత్య మండప్ లాంటివి ఒకేలా ఉంటాయి. గర్భగృహం మాత్రమే మారుతుంది.
