మీరు రిలయన్స్ జియో వినియోగదారులైతే అక్టోబర్ 10 నుంచి ఎయిర్ టెల్, వోడాఫోన్ లేదా ఏ ఇతర సంస్థకు చెందిన మొబైల్ వినియోగదారులకు కాల్ చేస్తే నిమిషానికి ఆరు పైసలు చెల్లించాలి. అయితే, జియో ఫోన్ నుంచి మరో జియో ఫోన్ వినియోగదారుకు ఫోన్ చేస్తే మాత్రం ఏమీ చెల్లించాల్సిన పని లేదు. జియో టూ జియో కాల్స్ ఇకపై కూడా ఉచితమే.

ఐయుసి (IUC) ఛార్జ్ అంటే ఏమిటి?

ఐయూసీ అంటే రెండు వేర్వేరు టెలికామ్ కంపెనీలు తమ వినియోగదారులు పరస్పరం మాట్లాడుకున్నందుకు వసూలు చేసే మొత్తం. సింపుల్‌గా చెప్పాలంటే... మీరు జియో సిమ్ నుంచి మీ స్నేహితుడు లేదా బంధువుల ఎయిర్ టెల్ నంబర్‌కు కాల్ చేసినప్పుడు, జియోకు ఎయిర్ టెల్ నుంచి నిమిషానికి ఆరు పైసల ఐయూసీ చెల్లించాల్సి ఉంటుంది. రిలయన్స్ తన జియో సేవలు ప్రారంభించినప్పటి నుండి ఇప్పటివరకు ఇతర టెలికాం కంపెనీలకు ఐయూసీ రూపంలో రూ .13,500 కోట్లు చెల్లించింది.

జియో నెట్‌వర్క్‌కు రోజూ 25- 30 కోట్ల మిస్డ్ కాల్స్ వస్తున్నాయని రిలయన్స్ తెలిపింది. దానివల్ల జియో వినియోగదారులు ఆ నెంబర్లకు కాల్ బ్యాక్ చేస్తారు. అలా జియో నెంబర్ల నుంచి ఇతర నెట్‌వర్క్స్‌కు రోజూ 6.5 - 7 కోట్ల నిమిషాల కాల్స్ వెళ్తున్నాయి. ఆ మొత్తం సమయానికి జియో నిమిషానికి 6 పైసల చొప్పున చెల్లించాల్సి వచ్చింది.

జియో ఎందుకు ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది?

ఐయూసీ చార్జీల విషయంలో టెలికాం రెగ్యులేటరీ అథారిటీ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా(ట్రాయ్) విధానాల్లో మార్పుల వల్లే ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకోవలసి వచ్చిందని జియో తెలిపింది. ఐయూసీ రూపంలో రిలయన్స్ చాలా కాలంగా ఇతర సంస్థలకు పెద్ద మొత్తంలో డబ్బు ఇస్తోంది. 2019 తరువాత ఐయూసీ చార్జీలు రద్దవుతాయని భావించింది. కానీ, TRAI ఇప్పుడు ఈ విషయంపై అన్ని వాటాదారుల అభిప్రాయాలను అడిగింది. నిజానికి, ఐయూసీ చార్జీల రద్దు గురించిన చర్చ 2011 నుంచీ నడుస్తోంది. అందుకు సంబంధించిన కసరత్తులు కూడా కొంత మేర జరిగాయి.
