పురాతన కర్ణేశ్వరాలయం
ఈ వారం తీర్థయాత్ర సీరీస్లో మీకు పురాతన కర్ణేశ్వరాలయాన్ని చూపించబోతున్నాము. చరిత్రలోకి చూస్తే కౌరవులు మాళ్వ ప్రాంతంలో పలు ఆలయాలను నిర్మించారు. వీటిలో కర్ణేశ్వరాలయం ఒకటి. ఇది సెంధల్ నది గట్టుపై నెలకొని ఉంది. కర్నావత్ పుర రాజైన కర్ణుడు ఈ ప్రాంతంలో పేదలకు, ఆపన్నులకు డబ్బులు, వస్తువులు దానం చేస్తూ ఆదుకునేవాడు. దీంతో ఆలయానికి ఇతడి పేరు స్థిరపడిపోయింది.
మరో కథనం ప్రకారం కర్మ అనే అతడు కూడా ఈ ప్రాంతానికి రాజుగా ఉండేవాడు. తన ఇలవేల్పును ఈయన భక్తిప్రపత్తులతో పూజించేవాడు. దేవతను సంతృప్తిపర్చేందుకు ఇతడు ప్రతిరోజూ తన ప్రాణాన్ని బలి ఇచ్చేవాడు. అతడి బలిదానానికి మెచ్చిన దేవత అతడి శరీరంపై కొన్ని అమృత బిందువులను వదిలి తిరిగి అతడికి జీవం పోసేది. అలాగే ఆమె 50 కిలోల బంగారాన్ని కూడా అతడికి కానుకగా ఇచ్చేది. ఈ బంగారాన్నే కర్ణ రాజు ప్రజలకు పంచిపెట్టేవాడు.
మధ్యప్రదేశ్లోని మాల్వా, నిమద్ ప్రాంతాల్లో కౌరవులు పలు ఆలయాలను నిర్మించినట్లు ప్రతీతి. అయితే వీటిలో అయిదు దేవాలయాలు మాత్రమే బాగా ప్రసిద్ధి కెక్కాయి. అవి ఓంకారేశ్వర్లోని మహామల్లేశ్వర్, ఉజ్జయినిలోని మహాకాళేశ్వర్, నేమావర్ లోని సిద్ధేశ్వర్, బీజ్వీర్లోని బీజేశ్వర్, కర్ణావత్ లోని కర్ణేశ్వర్.
ఈ ఆలయాల గురించి ఆలయ పూజారి హేమంత్ దుబే ఆసక్తికరమైన కథను చెప్పాడు. పూజారి చెప్పిన దాని ప్రకారం పాండవుల తల్లి కుంతి ఇసుకతో చేసిన శివలింగాలను పూజించేది. పాండువులు ఇందుకు కారణం అడిగినప్పుడు, ఇక్కడ అన్ని ఆలయాలను కౌరవులు నిర్మించారని, అందుచేత వాటిలో తాను పూజలు
చేయలేనని చెప్పిందట. తల్లి ఇలా చెప్పడంతో పాండవులు ఒకే ఒక రాత్రిలో పైన పేర్కొన్న ఆలయాల రూపాన్ని మార్చి కట్టారట.
ఉజ్జయినిలోని మహాకాళేశ్వర్ ఆలయానికి, అనేక ఇతర పవిత్ర స్థలాలకు వెళ్లడానికి సొరంగ మార్గాలు ఉండేవని చెబుతుంటారు. అయితే తర్వాత్తర్వాత భద్రత రీత్యా గ్రామస్తులు ఈ సొరంగాలను మూసివేశారు. ప్రతి సంవత్సరం శ్రావణ మాసంలో ఈ ప్రాంతంలో పలు ఉత్సవాలను నిర్వహిస్తుంటారు. ఈ సమయంలో కర్ణేశ్వర దేవుడి ప్రదర్శన ఈ నగరం గుండా సాగిపోతుంది.
గమ్యమార్గాలు
కర్నావట్ నగరానికి సమీపంలోని విమానాశ్రయం ఇండోర్లో ఉంది.
ఇండోర్ నుంచి 30 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో దేవస్ రైలు స్టేషన్ ఉంది. ఇక్కడినుంచి కర్ణావత్ వెళ్లేందుకు కిరాయికి బస్సులు, టాక్సీలు లభ్యమవుతాయి.
దేవస్ నుంచి 45 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలోని చాప్రాకు రోడ్డు మార్గంలో బస్సులు, టాక్సీలు దొరుకుతాయి. కర్ణావత్ గ్రామం చాప్రా నుంచి కొద్ది కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో ఉంటుంది.

ఉజ్జయినిలోని మహాకాళేశ్వర్ ఆలయానికి, అనేక ఇతర పవిత్ర స్థలాలకు వెళ్లడానికి సొరంగ మార్గాలు ఉండేవని చెబుతుంటారు. అయితే తర్వాత్తర్వాత భద్రత రీత్యా గ్రామస్తులు ఈ సొరంగాలను మూసివేశారు. ప్రతి సంవత్సరం శ్రావణ మాసంలో ఈ ప్రాంతంలో పలు ఉత్సవాలను నిర్వహిస్తుంటారు. ఈ సమయంలో కర్ణేశ్వర దేవుడి ప్రదర్శన ఈ నగరం గుండా సాగిపోతుంది.
గమ్యమార్గాలు
కర్నావట్ నగరానికి సమీపంలోని విమానాశ్రయం ఇండోర్లో ఉంది.
ఇండోర్ నుంచి 30 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో దేవస్ రైలు స్టేషన్ ఉంది. ఇక్కడినుంచి కర్ణావత్ వెళ్లేందుకు కిరాయికి బస్సులు, టాక్సీలు లభ్యమవుతాయి.
దేవస్ నుంచి 45 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలోని చాప్రాకు రోడ్డు మార్గంలో బస్సులు, టాక్సీలు దొరుకుతాయి. కర్ణావత్ గ్రామం చాప్రా నుంచి కొద్ది కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో ఉంటుంది.
